Growing Spiritual
 

Many of us had no idea what recovery is all about when we first got here, but it doesn't take us very long to figure out it has something to do with spirituality. Most of us don't even know what that is, but we instantly decide it's not something we came looking for when we came to recovery. Like other things in life that didn't always turn out like we had planned when we started, recovery is going to be like that, and like most of those things that oftentimes turned out better then we had planned or even hoped for, spirituality is going to be like that. All we have to do now is be willing to take the risk to find what spirituality is about. Some people live a spiritual life out of a sense of an obligation to do so. For those of us in recovery who have already faced the consequences of not living a spiritual life, for us it's more of a necessity that we live this way, more than it being anything else.
